LIVEfor is a 501c3 with a mission to empower children and adolescents with congenital or acquired physical disabilities to go confidently in the direction of their dreams. LIVEfor does this by increasing access to education, equipment, and rehabilitative services. Through involvement in adaptive sporting and recreational programs, we seek to break down any perceived barriers to increase the physical, mental, and social well-being of children with activity limitations.

This is a safe space to connect, ask questions and get involved. Our kids with physical limitations and disabilities need to move just as much as our able bodied kids. Let's figure how to make it fun and lifelong!
LIVEfor was created in 2011 by a pediatric physical therapist with a dream to help all kids with a physical disability maximize their potential, regardless of their ability to pay for treatment. This podcast is an extension of that dream where share a vision that no one is limited by any disability, condition or societal pressure. We talk about how physical therapy can be incorporated into any setting, but more importantly how movement is vital for development of self efficacy.
Join our group to get ideas on how to help your kids get outside, move and play more, and in turn improve their strength, endurance and overall health! We provide one on one virtual consultations two times a month with paid membership to empower you to work with your child and improve their mobility. I will also post educational videos to watch at your leisure that address common conditions like cerebral palsy, spina bifida, global developmental delay, generalized muscle weakness, balance impairments, down syndrome, amputations, spinal cord injury and more!

LIVEfor...has raised money and hosted events to get kids: the specialized orthotics they need to walk, run and jump; adaptive bikes so they can ride with their friends; out on the open water on paddleboards. Kids come to us to have fun and leave with life changing equipment and/or inspiration to keep them moving.
