At the Stretch & Catch Reading Center, our goal is to teach each child at their instructional level. In order to create an individual literacy plan for your child's success; we must first evaluate your child's literacy with a virtual one-on-one individual assessment. This evaluation is approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour long and is done prior to your child beginning at the Stretch & Catch Reading Center.
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Brain Injury, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Behavioral Disorder, Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD
On average, our students move one reading level every 5 sessions. We keep data on your child during every session. Once our data shows that your child has moved from an instructional level to an independent level, we move them up!
The Stretch & Catch Method is a tactile approach to understanding and "seeing" the patterns within words. This method uses your fingers to STRETCH out a word, look for the pattern within the word, and then CATCH the word, in order to read the word.
We deliver our services through our virtual Learning Center.
