Completing our SOC 2 Type 1 certification is our latest step in demonstrating our commitment to ensuring the privacy and security of the data associated with our families and trusted partners. This certification indicates an independent auditor has validated our design control activities against the selected security Trust Services Criteria (TSC).
Why is the SOC2 certification important for digital health platforms?
While Vitalxchange has always been committed to the highest standards of privacy and security, the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 is an official attestation of security compliance defined by the AICPA, a well-known standard for ensuring data security and operational maturity. Compliance with SOC standards provides our partners assurance and peace of mind regarding our platform’s security methods and integrity around maintaining data privacy.

In addition to SOC 2 Compliance, Vitalxchange also adheres to the processes and procedures required for HIPPA compliance. By the end of the year, we will undergo the SOC 2 Type 2 audit, the next key step in demonstrating our commitment to privacy and security. Attaining the SOC 2 Type 2 certification independently ensures we have continued to be SOC 2 compliant.
